Police plea after dead Dundee boy named
Police today named the boy who died suddenly after being found lying on a street in Dundee yesterday.
He was 13-year-old Gary Wilson, of Balgowan Avenue.

The youngster was discovered suffering from chest pains on the pavement in Derwent Avenue at around 5.15pm.

He died a little over an hour later in Ninewells Hospital.

A Tayside Police spokesman said today, “As with all sudden deaths, a report is being submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

“While there are no apparent suspicious circumstances, our inquiries continue to establish fully the circumstances surrounding his death.”

Officers say they are still keen to trace two girls, thought to be around 10 years old, who were in the Derwent Avenue area at the time of the boy’s collapse.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact police on Dundee 223200.
