| Musical pupils at Macalpine Primary School, Dundee, were celebrating coming first in a Christmas carol competition. |
| The senior choir at the school, consisting of pupils from primaries five, six and seven, recorded “It’s the blahs Mrs Claus” for the Wave 102 carol competition, sponsored by the Wellgate Centre.
Around 30 schools took part in this year’s event, with each recording their choice of song. These were broadcast on the radio, with a select panel of judges choosing Macalpine Primary as winners.
The choir was presented with two trophies today — one to be passed to the winner of the competition each year, and to other to be retained by the 2005 champions. |
