| Arlene Malcolm has been crowned Pub Idol 2005. She said afterwards that she was “speechless”, but won over the three judges with her rendition of ‘One Moment In Time’ by Whitney Houston. |
| The competition, sponsored by WAVE 102 and the Evening Telegraph, searched for the best of Dundee’s songbirds, through seven heats held at pubs throughout the city. At the final, which was compered by WAVE 102’s Peter Mac, winner Arlene fought off strong competition from the 14 other contestants at Fat Sam’s, in Dundee. |
