Second phase of Sensation upgrade
The second phase of the multi-million pound upgrade at Sensation in Dundee is set to get under way and this will mean the closure of the science centre next week.
To coincide with the major building work that started at the beginning of the year, a new zone called Secret Sight and Your Brilliant Brain is being installed between next week and the end of January.

Secret Sight will explain how our eyes and brain work together to give us our visual system.

Visitors will then be able to delve into Your Brilliant Brain to find out how senses constantly feed information into your ‘master computer’ so that we are able to learn surprisingly quickly.

Louise Smith, Sensation’s operations and projects manager, commented, “We are all very excited about this second phase of development. The new zone will tie our senses theme together.

“Once this latest phase of work has been completed, the whole centre will have something new in it.

“Even the existing zones will have had some new exhibits added, so anybody who has not visited Sensation over the last 12 months will notice huge changes.”

In order to minimize disruption to customers during the building phase, the centre will be closed from November 21 to November 27 to allow construction of a walkway for the contractors within the centre.
