| Striker David Fernandez and midfielder Grant Brebner could both still be in the physio’s room when the squad begin preparations for Motherwell’s visit tomorrow week.
The treatment the Spaniard was receiving for a hamstring problem has had to be halted because he has gone down with flu and that could set him back a couple of days.
Brebner, meanwhile, is still feeling the calf he strained at Tynecastle last weekend, though he might be able to step up his work at the start of the week. Even if he is not ready by then, the former Hibs man appears to have a reasonable chance of facing the Steelmen.
Long-term absentee Lee Mair is doing well and he could be ready to start ball work in a couple of weeks or so.
“I was watching him running on the track the other day and he looked quite strong. It is just a case of making sure everything continues to go smoothly,” said Gordon. |
