| Sanctuary Housing has already replaced several windows after residents complained of draughts.
But following more complaints, it has now decided to ensure windows in all its properties will be weather-tight for winter.
Ardler resident John Bisset said, “I have been round every flat in my block and all the windows let in the cold.
“One of my neighbours has had to stuff toilet roll around the window to stop the draughts.
“I worry that winter is nearly here and our heating bills will be extortionate.
“I am sure the seals around the windows have not been fitted properly.”
Anne Forbes, housing manager at Sanctuary Housing, said, “We carried out some replacements to the windows. However, we have received several other complaints so we intend to carry out a full survey of the windows by employing an independent surveyor.” |
