| Goalkeeper Mark Paston should be fit enough to join in training later today.
But defender Kevin James, midfield man John Henry and strikers Steven Milne and Peter MacDonald are still out.
If Saints had a game last Saturday, it’s highly unlikely James would have played.
Apart from that, another front man, Jason Scotland, is still in the Caribbean with Trinidad and Tobago.
He came on as a substitute in the 3-2 win over Guatemala on Saturday and is in the squad to face Costa Rica tomorrow night.
Saints player-boss Owen Coyle is keeping his fingers crossed Jason comes through unscathed.
Even if he does, it will be Friday before he gets back to Perth, not ideal preparation for a match the next day.
Meanwhile, long-term injury victim Kevin Fotheringham still hasn’t re-started training.
Saints are speaking to Scott Paterson later today.
The former Dundee United central defender has been training with the club and Owen said they’ll have a chat with him today regarding his future. |
