Pupils from Monifieth High School proved they have a head for heights at Monikie Country Park today.
The pupils met Angus Provost Bill Middleton at the park for the official opening of a new treetop rope course.

The course features a range of obstacles including a 40-foot climbing tower, two climbing walls, abseil points, a parachute jump and an exhilarating 100-metre zip wire.

There is also a low ropes course set at 2ft for younger children.

Funded by the Big Lottery Fund, the rope course is open to schools, youth organisations, clubs and other groups, although the public can also use it if they have a party of at least five.

Mr Middleton said, “I am delighted to open this new facility at Monikie Country Park and am very pleased that the project attracted finance from the Big Lottery Fund.

“This facility will help with team-building and engendering self-confidence and a sense of achievement for those taking part in the activities.”

Qualified instructors will supervise all of the activities. To book a session, call Monikie Country Park on 01382 370202.
