SAINTS HAPPY
Over 1500 turned out to see St Johnstone beat Alloa at McDiarmid in the Bell’s Challenge Cup on Saturday. Alloa brought less than 100 fans and 300 Saints season ticket holders didn’t attend (writes James Masson).
Saints’ managing director Stewart Duff commented, “We’re encouraged by the support we’re getting and it augurs well for the season ahead.

“Hopefully, our home support will increase.”

Admission charges for Saints’ away CIS Cup tie against Cowdenbeath on Tuesday (7.30) have been pegged at £10 for adults and £5 for concessions.
