Black Watch to conquer the airwaves
The Black Watch looks set to conquer the airwaves. Serving soldiers will be featuring in their own radio shows with the help of local station Perth FM 107.5, which is to broadcast two-hour shows linking up with the regiment’s base at Warminster in England.
The programme will feature messages, requests and interviews with serving soldiers and their families beginning this Saturday.

Captain William Colquhoun said the link up would be crucial to retaining the regiments links to Perth, Dundee and Fife.

He explained, “It’s very important to keep close links with the families and friends back home, because we rely on their support with everything we do.”

The shows will be broadcast from 11am on Saturdays July 23 and 30.
