UNITED HOPEFUL
Dundee United are hoping for positive news about the struggle to get Jason Scotland’s work permit renewed (writes Tom Duthie).
A 100-page dossier outlining the Trinidad international’s case was submitted to the Home Office last week and the club are expecting that to lead to the matter being sent back to the SPL in the next 24 to 48 hours.

If that happens, the Tangerines are confident that the people who turned down their request for a new work permit last month will have a re-think and allow the player to continue his career in Scotland.
