Panto highlights dangers of smoking

Fungus Fag at Forthill Primary School.

More than 2000 children in Dundee schools will this week watch a pantomime about the dangers of smoking.
NHS Tayside is taking the show, called Don’t Even Try One, to 12 city schools today, tomorrow and Thursday.

The panto tells the story of Fairy Fresh Air’s fight against the baddie Fungus Fag.

Health visitors, school nurses and police take on the roles of panto characters Lilly Lung, Naughty Schoolgirl, Fireman Tam and PC Mick. After the show pupils are able to ask questions about smoking.

Today children in primaries 1-5 at Forthill, Mossgiel, Mid Craigie and Longhaugh primary schools saw the show.
