The Diabetes Centre at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee, received a £13,250 boost today, thanks to the efforts of chartered accountants Findlay and Company. The money was raised at a dinner in the Apex Hotel in March, at which 280 people attended.

Professor Andrew Morris and Dr Ray Newton, from the Diabetes Centre, accepted the cheque from Chris Robertson, Colin Walker and Lorraine Bolton, from Findlay and Company.

Chris said, “This is the first of several fund-raising events which we hope to arrange over the next year or so.

“We have been discussing organising another dinner for next year.

“The money is specifically for the benefit of the new Diabetes Centre at Ninewells.”
