Irish call
St Johnstone striker Andy Jackson has been named in the Republic of Ireland U/17 stand-by list for two games against France in Paris on May 17 and 19 (writes James Masson).
Andy qualifies for the Republic as his mother’s side of the family are Irish.

“Scotland were aware of Andy, but the Republic have been pleased with what they’ve seen of him. So have I, and it’s a great compliment to the club that he’s being considered. All credit to our youth coach Tommy Campbell,” said Saints boss Owen Coyle.
