| Money raised from the record number of workplaces that have registered to participate this year is to be split between The Dundee Disabled Children’s Association and The Dundee Society for the Visually Impaired.
Previous years has seen the event raise over £12,000 for deserving causes across the city.
Lord Provost John Letford launched the event by speaking on a live-on-air phone link-up.
Programme manager Peter Mac said, “Over the last few years, I have been amazed at the generosity of the Wave 102 listeners and very proud of my staff for their hard work and determination in making the day a success.”
The event has gained support from many prominent people in the city and also celebrities, including Lorraine Kelly, Tony Hadley and Brian McFadden. |
