Dundee’s St Andrew’s Parish Church opened its doors today to professionals, who came to look at its newly developed young mothers project.
Social workers, health and education professionals and voluntary organisations visited the church to find out about the project.

It was developed in February and is for young mums from all over Dundee, aged between 16 and 21.

The project gives them an opportunity to meet up with other young mothers and spend some quality time with their children.

They are also encouraged to take part in activities both within and outside the project.

Rhona Armitage, project co-ordinator, said, “Around 30 professionals visited us today to find out more about our young mother’s project. They will hopefully be able to recommend it to other young families.”
