| The pipers and drummers (above) came home with the first place trophy for pipe band Contest class, after taking on bands from Glasgow, Troon, Largs and Houston.
As a result of their success, they were invited to compete in the Championship class and performed well enough to gain second place, beaten only by three-quarters of a point.
The band also gained third and fourth places in a mini-bands contest and was awarded two certificates for best turned out band. |
