The Fintry South Fun Afternoon was opened by Kirkton Beat, a local children’s drumming group.

DJ workshops, basketball, football, a drumming workshop, free raffles, snacks and giveaways were available throughout the afternoon.

Raffle prizes were donated by D C Thomson and Co Ltd, Eighteen and Under, Dundee Ice Arena and Ashoka Shak.

Representatives from Tayside Police and Tayside Fire Brigade were on hand to give free crime prevention and fire safety advice.

The Finmill Community Safety Panel laid on refreshments and Dundee City Council Sports Development team oversaw sports activities.

Organisations including Dundee City Council and several community groups were also present to offer residents information on issues concerning them.
