SAINTS BLOWS
St Johnstone have again been hit by illness and injury (writes James Masson).
Stephen Dobbie, who was back in training following his ankle injury, is the latest victim of a virus which has been sweeping the club.

“As he has only just got back into training, he wouldn’t have played on Saturday at Raith anyway, but this is still something we could do without,” said Saints boss John Connolly.

Paul Bernard, out for most of the season so far, has had a setback in his bid to get over a calf knock.

And, although Martyn Fotheringham is back in training following his injury, Kevin Fotheringham is still on the sidelines.

Despite this, and a poor run of form, John commented, “We’ve got to remain positive. The third-top team are only four points ahead of us and it wasn’t so long ago that we went six games without conceding a goal.”
