PRAISE FOR HANNAH
St Johnstone manager John Connolly today had words of praise for captain David Hannah, who, he claims, has “done well” this season (writes James Masson).
After a sticky start, the former Dundee United and Celtic man has been one of Saints’ most influential players, and John said, “David was dropped for a spell earlier in the season, but worked hard to get back into the team and has done well ever since. He responded to his time out of the side very well.”

Meanwhile, left-back Kevin Fotheringham looks like missing Saturday’s away fixture against St Mirren due to a groin injury.

Saints were due to face Clyde away a week on Saturday, but, with Clyde hosting Celtic in the Scottish Cup that day, the game has been re-dated for March 22.
