| The move is part of a drive to advise young people of their rights and the standard of services they can expect from adults, such as teachers and social workers.
Posters explaining what protection and care youngster should receive are to be placed in every school in the city.
These make clear that children expect adults to take them seriously, involve them, get to know them and use their power to help and respect children’s privacy.
The posters are part of the re-launch of the Dundee Children and Young Persons Protection Committee, which aims to keep youngsters safe from abuse and neglect.
Partners in the committee include the city council, Tayside Police, NHS Tayside, the procurator fiscal’s department, the Scottish Children’s Reporter Administration and voluntary groups. |
