Dundee pupils roped in to skip for charity

Hannah Barclay jumps in as her schoolmates wait their turn.

Pupils at Sidlawview Primary School in Dundee took part in a sponsored skip for charity today.
The children of all ages, from nursery through to Primary Seven, each skipped for 20 minutes to raise money for the British Heart Foundation and benefit their own health.

Teacher May Ritchie said, “It’s a great event in that it’s not only for a good cause but is good for the children’s fitness too.

“With all the worries about child obesity, we hope this kind of thing will encourage the kids to exercise and have fun at the same time”.

The school expects to raise well over £200 from the event, with 75% of the cash going to the BHF and 25% retained by the school.
