| With the agreement of United and the SFA, Gretna owner Brookes Mileson is meeting admission costs of all fans for the January 8 tie, but with just 440 tickets coming to them, that left United with a headache in deciding how they should be allocated.
After consultation with fans’ groups, it has been decided priority will be given to season ticket holders.
However, due to the size of the allocation, a postal ballot system will be used to decide who gets the briefs. Accordingly, interested fans should send an envelope containing Voucher 30 from their season ticket book as well as a first-class SAE to the club shop for no later than noon a week tomorrow.
A random ballot will then take place and the tickets despatched the following day. Groups of season ticket holders can put their vouchers in one envelope.
Should the club receive an additional ticket allocation, every effort will be made to send these to the unsuccessful applicants in the first random ballot.
Any tickets left unallocated after season ticket holder demand has been satisfied will be available for general distribution on a first come first served basis. This will be notified on the website, as appropriate. |
