Dundee University makes links with India
Dundee University advanced its international links today, when it announced a research tie-up with an Indian institute.
Professor Janak Pandey, University of Allahabad, visited Dundee University’s psychology department to finalise details of a new course in India.

The professor, joined by Indian Consul General P. S. Randhawa, were greeted by Dr Nick Hopkins, who recently took a sabbatical in India, university vice principal Professor James Calderhead and Arts and Social Science faculty head Professor Chris Whatley.

The intensive new programme, which will run from March 7-21, will see four UK academics team up with four Indian researchers on a course considering recent developments in social psychology theory and methodology. One of the longer-term aims of the course is to encourage further collaboration between educational establishments in Britain and India.

Dr Hopkins said, “The opportunity to work with alongside our Indian colleagues is a wonderful opportunity for the visiting UK academics to learn about contemporary developments in Indian psychology.”
