KEEN CONTEST
Tomorrow’s St Johnstone-Falkirk Division One clash looks like attracting a big crowd and Saints boss John Connolly says there’ll be no problem lifting his players for this keen contest (writes James Masson).
“We’re on a great run of five unbeaten games with just one goal conceded and there’ll be a great atmosphere,” he added.

Since their early season losses, the Perth club have tightened up at the back and, although they haven’t been scoring many goals, John believes the team have goals in them.

Ross Forsyth and Peter MacDonald continued their comebacks from injury with appearances in the midweek closed-doors match against Dundee, Peter playing for just over an hour and Ross for 30 minutes. It’s extremely unlikely, though, that both will make tomorrow’s starting line-up, although MacDonald may be a substitute.

“As each day passes, they’re coming on,” said John, who also revealed that a scope inserted in Sean Webb’s troublesome knee showed up no damage.

“Sean should be back in training next week, but Martyn Fotheringham and Paul Bernard are a bit further away yet.”
