| Over 100 players, aged 5-17 took part in the two-day tournament, which also featured a guest team comprising local police officers.
Funding for the tournament came from the Social Inclusion Partnership, Better Neighbourhood Services Fund and local businesses.
A match between youth from Ardler and Kirkton also took place. Organiser Bill McCabe said it was a friendly affair to help build bridges.
He said, “Although we helped with the running of the event we wanted to turn this over to the kids themselves to give them a bit of responsibility.”
Excess funding of around £300 will help the youngsters establish their own street league, with a donation to Caring for Kids also being made. |
