| CCTV footage is also being studied following a series of incidents during the school holidays at Rosebank Primary, in Rosebank Road.
The most recent, which took place last night, resulted in 16 windows being smashed. The total cost of the damage is not yet known.
A Tayside Police spokesperson confirmed today, “There have been a number of acts of vandalism at the school, and officers are today carrying out inquiries in the area.
“These include door-to-door inquiries and also looking at CCTV footage.
“We are also keen to hear from anyone who saw or heard anything in the area.
“Anyone who knows who was responsible is asked to contact Tayside Police on Dundee 223200 or speak to any officer.”
Vandalism at schools and other council properties is a problem which costs the local authority hundreds of thousands of pounds every year.
A malicious damage survey was carried out at six blighted city schools last year, resulting in recommendations ranging from additional CCTV coverage to anti-climbing devices. |
