Fifty Ancrum pupils off ill
Ancrum Road Primary School, Dundee, has been hit by a mystery stomach bug, with 50 pupils and one member of staff off ill.
The school has a roll of 430.

The victims are suffering from vomiting and diarrhoea. It is understood that in one class 16 pupils are off.

As well as urging children to be more careful about personal hygiene, other measures have been taken to combat the infection, including the more regular cleaning of the school.

A city council spokesman said, “We are monitoring the situation.”

He added that Ancrum Road Primary was the only school affected.
