CHIRPY SAINTS
Miksu Paatelainen who, along with Jim Weir, is in charge of team affairs at McDiarmid Park until St Johnstone appoint a successor to Billy Stark, said today the mood in the camp was chirpy (writes James Masson).
“Obviously, it was a strange feeling earlier in the week with Billy leaving the club.

“But the boys are very professional and they’re building up nicely to Saturday’s away game against QOS,” said Miksu. “Everyone is on their toes and looking ahead to the match,” he added.

Ian Maxwell is serving the last of a two-game ban, but Jim Weir came through the Reserve League Cup Final victory over St Mirren OK and, providing he suffers no more mishaps, may be included in Saturday’s squad.
