Shoppers in Dundee have the chance to ‘shop for health’ after a new stall opened in the Wellgate Centre today.
The Shop for Health stall, staffed by health visitors from the Dundee Healthy Living Initiative Team, will be open every Thursday afternoon.

A team of registered nurses will be on hand to provide confidential professional advice and information on contraception, healthy eating and cooking, exercise for all ages, smoking cessation, parenting, men and women’s health issues and stress management.

The stall will also offer a range of leaflets and literature for weary shoppers to take home and read at their leisure.

Based on the third floor of the centre, the stall will target people who frequently visit the Wellgate and may not have easy access to health information and health checks in their local community.
