Pupils’ fundraiser

At the presentation of the cheques were, from left — Canon Kenneth McBride, Iain Lesslie, Katy Follon of SCIAF, Alice Dowey, Rector George Haggarty, Amy Haggarty, Stephen Flavahan, David Forsyth of HCPT, Michael Duffy and deputy rector Anthony Cousins.

Pupils from Dundee’s St John’s High amassed £4500 in just over six weeks for their annual SCIAF (Scottish Catholic International Aid Fund) Lenten Campaign.
They held numerous sponsored events to raise the cash, and two first year classes, 1L and 1M, raised £745 by walking across the Tay Road Bridge.

They also donated £500 to the Handicapped Children’s Pilgrimage Trust (HCPT) which takes children to Lourdes at Easter.
