New dimension for Sensation
Sensation in Dundee is to open a 3D theatre, which will be used for entertainment, education and research films.
A gala preview of the first film, SOS Planet, will be held on April 2 at the theatre, which will open to the public on Monday, April 5.

The 3D cinema sits 70 people and the film runs for 15 minutes. Entry to the theatre will be included in the Sensation entry price.

Chief executive of Sensation Paul Jennings said, “The 3D experience is amazing and with SOS Planet we have chosen a film which really uses the technology’s capabilities to its full potential.”

“The theatre will also be used by our education team to show films designed to bring another dimension to teaching.”

SOS Planet is about the importance of conserving the environment and saving the planet.

A series of practical workshops will be run during the Easter holidays where visitors can discover what they can do to aid conservation and the environment at a local level.
