More than 200 schoolchildren have taken part in recycling workshops this week held at Verdant Works, Dundee, as part of National Science Week.
Local artist Kirsten Lyons has been on hand to assist children invent and build useful objects from what is considered old junk.

Susan Galloway, education and community outreach officer said, “A lot of the children did not realise that Verdant Works was used as a site for various forms of recycling over a period of 70 years.

“The workshops are a great opportunity for young people to increase their awareness of environmental issues and the need for recycling.”
