Claudio shirt boost for DFC
The legacy of Claudio Caniggia’s time at Dundee FC has resulted in a boost of at least £1000 for the Dee4Life campaign.
A framed shirt worn by Caniggia and bearing the signature of “the bird” is top attraction in an auction organised by Broughty Ferry-based Billy Steel Dark Blues to add to the £76,700 raised so far.

Already the item has attracted a great deal of interest and a £1000 reserve bid from a Dundee fanatic who lives in China.

Several other items will also be placed up for auction from 5pm today on Internet site eBay, where Dee4Life already have an online store selling T-shirts, sweatshirts and car stickers.

Other items up for auction include hospitality for two at Rangers v Dundee on, March 20, with a five-course meal, complimentary bar and top seats; Hospitality for two in the Captains’ Lounge at Dens Park for the match against Aberdeen on March 13.

Dundee fans are not the only ones to be catered for, with signed Rangers and Celtic shirts among the memorabilia up for grabs.

The Billy Steel Dark Blues have also arranged a gourmet dinner next Friday, with two of Scotland’s finest chefs/restaurateurs.
