70-year-old woman robbed in Dundee
A 70-year-old woman was assaulted and robbed in the Stobswell area of Dundee late last night, writes Grant Hill.
Police are appealing for information to help trace the occupants of a red, K-reg car, seen in the Arbroath Road area shortly before the incident took place.

The woman was in Kemback Street, between 10.30 and 10.45 when she first became aware of the vehicle — possibly a Ford Escort.

At that time the car had its hazard lights on and had two male occupants. A short time later, she saw the same car come out of Baffin Street and into Arbroath Road.

Moments later, on Arbroath Road, near to Morgan Street, the woman felt a sharp tug on her shoulder from behind and was knocked to the ground as a man grabbed her handbag. He then ran off and got into the car.

The woman was shaken, but unhurt by her ordeal. Stolen with the bag was a mobile phone and a three-figure sum of money.

Her attacker is described as being 20 to 30 years old, five feet three inches and of slim build.

Anyone with any information should contact police on 01382 223200, or speak to any officer.
