FLOGGING JERSEYS

Dundee stars of past and present are set to flog the jerseys to help the club’s survival battle (writes Tom Duthie).
Ex-players Tommy Coyne and Bobby Cox today linked up with Dens duo Lee Wilkie and Nacho Novo to launch a new scheme offering fans the chance to own specially signed shirts. From today, fans will be able to order the signed shirt of their choice for £150 — and for £250 they can have it presented in person at Dens by the player of their choice. Proceeds go to help the club survive administration.

In addition to all first-team regulars, Dens officials are hopeful former stars like Alan Gilzean and Charlie Cooke will back the scheme.

Fans can order the signed top of their choice at Dundee Direct, www.dundeefcdirect. com, or by contacting Dundee 884450.

Bobby Cox, captain of the 1961/62 league winning team, said, “Everyone knows the feeling I have for Dundee and anything I can do to lend a hand right now I will.”
