CLASSY OWEN
Shot-shy Dundee United found their shooting boots with a vengeance last night as they trounced Queen’s Park at Lesser Hampden (writes John Brown).
The Tangerines have found goals hard to come by recently, but veteran Owen Coyle showed the way with a hat-trick in the 7-0 win, in which Jim Paterson made a welcome comeback after injury.

Billy Dodds, Craig Easton, Jason Scotland and Steven Anderson also netted.

Meanwhile, although they will be missing at least four first-team players for the trip to Aberdeen on Saturday, United could be in a better position when Dundee visit Tannadice a week on Sunday.

“Charlie Miller and Collin Samuel are doing quite well and, while they are struggling to make it to Pittodrie, they should be OK for the derby,” said boss Ian McCall.

The derby is all-ticket and United fans can buy their tickets from the Tannadice office and club shop from 9 am tomorrow.

Prices are £20 and £18 adults, £11 and £10 concessions.
