Nursery nurses display skills

Striking nursery nurses from child and family centres across Dundee were at City Square today to display their skills to the public in a Back The Action fun day.

The event, which comes on the last day of their most recent three-day strike, saw the nurses showing off their face-painting skills alongwith a variety of relaxation therapy techniques.

The current strike in the city involves six out of eight of the centres, with two being left open for children who may have been put at risk.

Unison’s Dundee branch secretary Rory Malone said, “It has been a very busy event with many people yet again showing their support for the nurses.”
