Experienced midfielder Kevin McBride is set to be the latest in the queue of Dundee players ready to sign up again for next season.
The 32-year-old is understood to have agreed a new deal and will probably put pen to paper when he returns with the rest of the squad for pre-season training at the start of the week.
The former Motherwell and Hibs man made 27 appearances last term and played a major role as John Brown’s team fought hard to avoid relegation over the final quarter of the campaign.
In agreeing terms, McBride is joining a growing list of players who have, or agreed to, be part of the bid to climb out of the First Division at the first attempt.
And despite uncertainty caused by the ongoing takeover at Dens, Bomber is pressing forward with his plans and the next week or two could see a goalkeeper added to his squad.
Following the departures of Rab Douglas and Steve Simonsen, John Gibson one of those already signed up is the only No 1 with first-team experience currently on the books.
